Water Heater Installation
We bring every water heater up to code, even if they're out in the country. A lot of people want to save money. They just want us to pull that old water heater out, slap the new one in, and be done with it. But I typically always require we address any kind of code issues, especially if it's something that's a safety concern and especially gas water heaters.

There's a lot of things that can go wrong with a gas water heater. If you do something wrong and don't address some safety concerns when you're installing a new water heater, that will keep me up at night. What about carbon monoxide or trim pressure. I've seen some videos in training, and of them literally blowing up. Blowing your house up like a bomb.

There's a lot of safety concerns in the water heaters, especially gas fired water heaters. It's gotta have double Class B, double walled in the water heaters, temperature, pressure relief valves. We need a big gravity fall all the way out of the house. Not more than 3, 90-degree angles. Not a bunch of turns slowing down the gas. We want it to blow out of there as fast as possible. It's got to have 1-inch minimum clearance around all the vent piping so it doesn't touch combustibles. It's gonna be blowing out hot gas. It's hot, and that pipe is hot.
